Just a guy and a camera.

I keep things simple — it’s just me, some equipment, and creativity.

Modern businesses don’t need full production crews or overly picky fine arts majors to get their message out there and drive growth. I’m a blue-collar creative that understands what it takes to get sh*t done.

Since setting out as a freelance photographer in 2020, I’ve spent time on all sides of the creative process — and that’s not an exaggeration.

I shoot for others, I shoot for myself, and I can shoot myself, too. My work methods have always been oriented towards getting powerful results with the minimum expenditure of time and effort. For some, creation and art needs to be slow and deliberate…not for me. I loosen up and let it flow so we can work with what comes.

My core value add is generation.

I have a lot of energy towards life and I love connecting with new people and new ideas, so I genuinely appreciate working with different personalities that challenge me to take on their perspectives as I support their momentum.

  • I specialize in portraits, dynamic portraits (people in their context), workplace candids, and special events.

I shoot a lot of frames and I love to edit.

Capturing the best quality raw material is the focus, and then accentuating the part of the image that speaks most clearly in post-production.

  • Video is the golden goose of digital marketing. Everyone wants it, nobody seems to have time for doing it well.

    The reason…it’s genuinely hard.

There are numerous factors that go into scoring great video content. It’s a balancing act that requires sustained attention to detail, prior experience, and the right gear to execute well.

Optimizing every aspect of the workflow is crucial.

Keeping video work economical requires strategic thinking and honesty. I’ll always let you know what’s required up front so there are no hidden costs or inefficiencies.

  • I learned photography and videography in conjunction, and have tailored my gear towards being able to capture both without compromising the quality of either.

Most creatives specialize in one or the other. Photographers avoid video like the plague, videographers think stills are irrelevant.

    I specialize in both.

My motto is “do more with less”. Today’s mirrorless cameras, compact drones, and lightweight lenses allow me to capture cinema-grade content on a freelancer budget.

With a little know-how and a lot of hustle, a solo-act like me can deliver more than what corporate photographers do on a half the budget.

La Joie Créatif LLC

La Joie Créatif LLC

“Creative Joy” - there’s a reason why I named my company with the french words for this concept, the joy of creation.

Both my parents were artists in their own right, my mother a painter, my father a master woodworker.

Since taking this path as a freelance creative, I’ve never felt more fulfilled on a daily basis.

This is truly what I love to do, and I value the opportunity to spread that joy.

“Views” are worthless if they fail to inspire action.

I have a talent for seeing the authentic stories that underlie people and the things they create.

Translating that into compelling imagery through visual mediums is the value I bring.

Generating a sustainable output of digital content is sink-or-swim for modern enterprises.

If you want to scale, you need to reach more people—but not only more people, you need the right people. The ones that genuinely like who you and jive with your mission will support your growth and stick with you.

Communicating your authenticity is the shortest route to your highest good.

Lead from the heart.
